February 7, 2023: Poplar Grove, IL 61065 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Byron Tigers (Byron, IL) and the host North Boone Vikings (Poplar Grove, IL), saw Byron's basketball squad overcome North Boone by a tally of 56-36.
With the victory, Byron improves its record to 17-8 on the campaign. The Tigers host Stillman Valley (Stillman Valley, IL) to confront the Cardinals in a Big Northern challenge on Friday, February 10. The Cardinals come into the challenge with a record of 17-9. Stillman Valley lost 73-57 in their recent league challenge against Lutheran (Rockford, IL)
Next up, the Vikings confront the Oregon Hawks (Oregon, IL) in a Big Northern challenge, on Thursday, February 9. North Boone will attempt to improve on its 13-15 season record. The Hawks come into the challenge with a 8-19 record after their 82-74 non-league loss to Rochelle (Rochelle, IL).
