Ohio High School Basketball - Marlington topped by East
February 7, 2023: Akron, OH 44305 The East Dragons basketball team scored 59 points and restricted the visiting Marlington Dukes to 46 in the Dragons non-league victory on Tuesday.
The Dragons now sport a 16-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Canton South for a non-league contest on Friday, February 10. East will battle a Wildcats team coming off a 59-54 league win over Fairless (Navarre, OH). The Wildcats record now stands at 10-9.
The Dukes (7-12) will now prepare for their contest against Garfield (Akron, OH). The Rams come into the non-league contest with a 5-10 record. In their last contest, Garfield dropped by West Branch (Beloit, OH), 55-49, in a non-league contest.
