Kentucky High School Basketball - Estill County holds off Nicholas County
February 7, 2023: Carlisle, KY 40311 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Estill County Engineers (Irvine, KY) and the host Nicholas County Bluejackets (Carlisle, KY), saw Estill County's basketball squad hold off Nicholas County by a tally of 52-48.
With the victory, Estill County improves its record to 16-9 on the campaign. The Engineers travel to Hazard (Hazard, KY) to confront the Bulldogs / Lady Bulldogs in a non-league challenge on Friday, February 10. The Bulldogs / Lady Bulldogs come into the challenge with a record of 14-2.
Next up, the Bluejackets confront the Burgin Bulldogs (Burgin, KY) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, February 9. Nicholas County will attempt to improve on its 7-13 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 2-16 record after their 85-49 league loss to West Jessamine (Nicholasville, KY).
