West Virginia High School Basketball - Huntington nips Parkersburg South
February 7, 2023: Parkersburg, WV 26101 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Huntington Highlanders (Huntington, WV) and the host Parkersburg South Patriots (Parkersburg, WV), saw Huntington's basketball squad hold off Parkersburg South by a tally of 54-50.
With the victory, Huntington improves its record to 11-8 on the campaign. The Highlanders travel to South Charleston (South Charleston, WV) to play the Black Eagles in a Mountain State challenge on Friday, February 10. The Black Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 13-8. South Charleston won 44-42 in their recent non-league challenge against Parkersburg Catholic (Parkersburg, WV)
Next up, the Patriots play the Buckhannon-Upshur Buccaneers (Buckhannon, WV) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, February 11. Parkersburg South will attempt to improve on its 10-9 season record. The Buccaneers come into the challenge with a 10-9 record after their 46-41 non-league win over Lincoln (Shinnston, WV).
