Rural Retreat Indians (Rural Retreat, VA) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Eastern Montgomery Mustangs (Elliston, VA), 59-33 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Rural Retreat upgrades its record to 13-10 on the campaign.

Next up, the Mustangs play the Craig County Rockets (New Castle, VA) in a Pioneer bout, on Monday, February 12. Eastern Montgomery will attempt to upgrade on its 6-15 season record. The Rockets come into the bout with a 5-14 record after their 53-43 league loss to Highland (Monterey, VA).
