West Virginia High School Basketball - Lincoln fells Liberty

February 7, 2024: Shinnston, WV 26431

Lincoln Cougars (Shinnston, WV) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Liberty Mountaineers (Clarksburg, WV), 46-30 in a league bout.

With the win, Lincoln upgrades its record to 7-8 on the season. The Cougars host Bridgeport (Bridgeport, WV) to clash with the Indians in a Big Ten bout on Friday, February 9. The Indians go into the bout with a record of 12-2. Bridgeport won 55-53 in their recent non-league bout against Woodrow Wilson (Beckley, WV)

Next up, the Mountaineers clash with the Scott Skyhawks (Madison, WV) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, February 8. Liberty will attempt to upgrade on its 11-5 season record. The Skyhawks go into the bout with a 6-12 record after their 66-51 league loss to Wayne (Wayne, WV).
