Maryland High School Basketball - Kent Island holds off Decatur
February 7, 2024: Berlin, MD 21811 Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Kent Island Buccaneers (Stevensville, MD) and the host Decatur Seahawks (Berlin, MD), saw Kent Island's basketball squad hold off Decatur by a tally of 39-33.
With the victory, Kent Island improves its record to 14-4 on the campaign. The Buccaneers travel to Dover (Dover, DE) to confront the Senators in a non-league challenge on Thursday, February 8. The Senators come into the challenge with a record of 14-2. Dover won 46-40 in their recent league challenge against Sussex Tech (Georgetown, DE)
Next up, the Seahawks confront the Parkside Rams (Salisbury, MD) in a Bayside - South challenge, on Monday, February 12. Decatur will attempt to improve on its 10-8 season record. The Rams come into the challenge with a 18-3 record after their 66-59 non-league loss to North Caroline (Ridgely, MD).
