The Monroe Redhawks basketball team (Monroe, NC), was toppled 67-55 in Wednesday's non-league battle with the host Sun Valley Spartans (Monroe, NC)

The Spartans now possess a 11-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Marvin Ridge for a non-league battle on Friday, February 9. Sun Valley will confront a Mavericks team coming off a 53-29 non-league win over South Mecklenburg (Charlotte, NC). The Mavericks record now stands at 13-0.
