February 7, 2025: Chicago, IL 60637 The Chicago University Maroons basketball squad (Chicago, IL), was crushed 63-40 in Friday's league battle with the visiting Lake Forest Academy Caxys (Lake Forest, IL)
With the victory, Lake Forest Academy advances its record to 19-5 on the year. The Caxys host Lakes (Lake Villa, IL) to meet the Eagles in a non-league battle on Saturday, February 8. The Eagles enter the battle with a record of 7-15. Lakes won 53-33 in their recent league battle against Round Lake (Round Lake, IL)
The Maroons now own a 5-11 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Latin for a Independent School battle on Tuesday, February 11. Chicago University will meet a Romans squad coming off a 56-48 league win over North Shore Country Day (Winnetka, IL). The Romans record now stands at 6-13.
