February 7, 2025: Viborg, SD 57070 The Viborg/Hurley Cougars (Viborg, SD) basketball crushed the visiting Freeman Academy/Marion (Freeman, SD), 68-38 in Friday's league bout.
The Cougars now possess a 17-1 record. They play next when they travel to Parker for a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 11. Viborg/Hurley will play a Pheasants team coming off a 59-51 non-league loss to Chester (Chester, SD). The Pheasants record now stands at 3-12.
With the loss, Freeman Academy/Marion falls to 4-9 on the campaign. The travel to Gayville-Volin (Gayville, SD) to play the Raiders in a B Region 4 bout on Tuesday, February 11. The Raiders go into the bout with a record of 9-5. Gayville-Volin won 63-58 in their recent non-league bout against Bridgewater/Emery (Emery, SD)
