South Dakota High School Basketball - Vermillion fells Groton
February 7, 2025: Vermillion, SD 57069 The Vermillion Tanagers basketball team scored 75 points and limited the visiting Groton Tigers to 65 in the Tanagers non-league triumph on Friday.
The Tanagers now have a 13-3 record. They play next when they host Dakota Valley for a A Region 4 game on Tuesday, February 11. Vermillion will confront a Panthers team coming off a 66-39 league win over Elk Point-Jefferson (Elk Point, SD). The Panthers record now stands at 11-4.
With the loss, Groton falls to 10-5 on the campaign. The Tigers host Leola/Frederick (Leola, SD) to confront the Titans in a non-league game on Tuesday, February 11. The Titans go into the game with a record of 17-3. Leola/Frederick lost 58-51 in their recent league game against Warner (Warner, SD)
