Illinois High School Basketball - Mascoutah thwarts Jersey
February 7, 2025: Mascoutah, IL 62258 The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Mascoutah Indians (Mascoutah, IL) and the visiting Jersey Panthers (Jerseyville, IL), observed Mascoutah's basketball team knock off Jersey by a score of 60-43.
The Indians (15-10) will now prepare for their challenge against Marshall County (Benton, KY). The Marshals come into the non-league challenge with a 23-0 record. In their last challenge, Marshall County prevailed over Murray (Murray, KY), 74-48, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Panthers encounter the Carrollton Hawks (Carrollton, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, February 11. Jersey will attempt to improve on its 8-18 season record. The Hawks come into the challenge with a 14-11 record after their 54-19 league loss to West Central co-op [Winchester-Bluffs] (Winchester, IL).
