Massachusetts High School Basketball - Winchester can't hold off Lexington
February 7, 2025: Winchester, MA 01890 Lexington Minutemen (Lexington, MA) supporters left the game happy Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the host Winchester Red & Black (Winchester, MA), 69-66 in a league match.
With the victory, Lexington advances its record to 10-3 on the year. The Minutemen travel to Waltham (Waltham, MA) to face the Hawks in a non-league match on Sunday, February 9. The Hawks enter the match with a record of 6-7. Waltham won 53-49 in their recent league match against Wayland (Wayland, MA)
The Red & Black now own a 13-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Reading Memorial for a Middlesex match on Tuesday, February 11. Winchester will face a Rockets squad coming off a 67-40 league loss to Arlington (Arlington, MA). The Rockets record now stands at 2-9.
