The St. Francis Red Raiders basketball squad (Hamburg, NY), was nudged 70-65 in Friday's league battle with the visiting St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute Marauders (Buffalo, NY)

With the victory, St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute advances its record to 17-3 on the year. The Marauders travel to Aquinas Institute (Rochester, NY) to meet the Little Irish in a non-league battle on Sunday, February 9. The Little Irish enter the battle with a record of 9-5. Aquinas Institute lost 74-64 in their recent non-league battle against McQuaid Jesuit (Rochester, NY)

The Red Raiders now own a 8-11 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Canisius for a Monsignor Martin battle on Tuesday, February 11. St. Francis will meet a Crusaders squad coming off a 76-57 league win over Bishop Timon-St. Jude (Buffalo, NY). The Crusaders record now stands at 19-3.
