February 7, 2025: Des Moines, IA 50316 Ames Little Cyclones (Ames, IA) supporters left the game happy Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the host Des Moines East Scarlets (Des Moines, IA), 63-12 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Ames advances its record to 11-9 on the year. The Little Cyclones travel to Ottumwa (Ottumwa, IA) to meet the Bulldogs in a non-league match on Friday, February 14. The Bulldogs enter the match with a record of 12-6.
The Scarlets now own a 1-11 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Mason City for a non-league match on Tuesday, February 11. Des Moines East will meet a Mohawks squad coming off a 59-21 non-league win over Lincoln (Des Moines, IA). The Mohawks record now stands at 16-7.
