Illinois High School Basketball - Aurora East trounced by West Aurora
February 7, 2025: Aurora, IL 60505 West Aurora Blackhawks (Aurora, IL) supporters left the game happy Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the host Aurora East Tomcats (Aurora, IL), 51-25 in a league match.
With the victory, West Aurora advances its record to 18-4 on the year. The Blackhawks host Glenbard South (Glen Ellyn, IL) to meet the Raiders in a non-league match on Tuesday, February 11. The Raiders enter the match with a record of 25-2. Glenbard South won 48-30 in their recent league match against Glenbard East (Lombard, IL)
The Tomcats now own a 5-23 record. They put it on the line next when they host Illinois Math & Science Academy for a non-league match on Saturday, February 8. Aurora East will meet a Titans squad coming off a 43-23 non-league loss to South Beloit (South Beloit, IL). The Titans record now stands at 3-16.
