West Virginia High School Basketball - Shady Spring toppled by Point Pleasant

February 7, 2025: Point Pleasant, WV 25550

Point Pleasant Big Blacks (Point Pleasant, WV) fans went home pleased Friday as they observed their basketball team knock off the visiting Shady Spring Tigers (Shady Spring, WV), 50-40 in a non-league challenge.

The Big Blacks (4-16) will now prepare for their challenge against Rock Hill (Ironton, OH). The Redmen come into the non-league challenge with a 7-13 record. In their last challenge, Rock Hill prevailed over South Point (South Point, OH), 47-44, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Tigers encounter the Midland Trail Patriots (Hico, WV) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, February 10. Shady Spring will attempt to improve on its 2-13 season record. The Patriots come into the challenge with a 10-4 record after their 66-24 league win over Liberty (Glen Daniel, WV).
