Discovery Canyon Thunder (Colorado Springs, CO) supporters left the game happy Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the host Air Academy Kadets (US Air Force Academy, CO), 71-50 in a league match.

With the victory, Discovery Canyon advances its record to 10-5 on the year. The Thunder travel to Mesa Ridge (Colorado Springs, CO) to face the Grizzlies in a non-league match on Saturday, February 8. The Grizzlies enter the match with a record of 13-0. Mesa Ridge won 73-24 in their recent league match against Canon City (Canon City, CO)

The Kadets now own a 5-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Cheyenne Mountain for a non-league match on Tuesday, February 11. Air Academy will face a Red-Tailed Hawks squad coming off a 62-37 non-league loss to Lewis-Palmer (Monument, CO). The Red-Tailed Hawks record now stands at 8-6.
