Maryland High School Basketball - Gonzaga fells Our Lady of Good Counsel

February 8, 2022: Olney, MD 20853

Gonzaga Eagles (Washington, DC) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Our Lady of Good Counsel Falcons (Olney, MD), 75-56 in a league bout.

With the win, Gonzaga upgrades its record to 14-4 on the season. The Eagles host St. Paul VI (Chantilly, VA) to play the Panthers in a VISAA Division 1 bout on Thursday, February 10. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 19-3. St. Paul VI won 92-65 in their recent league bout against The Heights (Potomac, MD)

Next up, the Falcons play the DeMatha Stags (Hyattsville, MD) in a Washington Catholic bout, on Tuesday, February 15. Our Lady of Good Counsel will attempt to upgrade on its 10-9 season record. The Stags go into the bout with a 15-5 record after their 54-46 league win over Archbishop Carroll (Washington, DC).
