West Virginia High School Basketball - Summers County nips Meadow Bridge
February 8, 2022: Hinton, WV 25951 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Summers County Bobcats (Hinton, WV) and the visiting Meadow Bridge Wildcats (Meadow Bridge, WV), saw Summers County's basketball squad hold off Meadow Bridge by a count of 45-43.
With the victory, Summers County upgrades its record to 5-9 on the campaign. The Bobcats host Montcalm (Montcalm, WV) to play the Generals in a non-league challenge on Friday, February 11. The Generals come into the challenge with a record of 4-11. Montcalm lost 72-24 in their recent league challenge against Mount View (Welch, WV)
Next up, the Wildcats play the Richwood Lumberjacks (Richwood, WV) in a Coalfield A challenge, on Wednesday, February 9. Meadow Bridge will attempt to upgrade on its 3-12 season record. The Lumberjacks come into the challenge with a 2-9 record after their 83-52 league loss to Webster County (Upper Glade, WV).
