The Meadowbrook Monarchs (Richmond, VA) basketball nipped the host Hopewell Blue Devils (Hopewell, VA), 51-48 in Tuesday's league test.

The Monarchs (4-10) will now prepare for their test against Dinwiddie (Dinwiddie, VA). The Generals go into the Central test with a 5-11 record. In their last test, Dinwiddie got by Colonial Heights (Colonial Heights, VA), 56-48, in a league test.
