New Jersey High School Basketball - Monmouth Regional crushes Lakewood
February 8, 2022: Lakewood, NJ 08701 Monmouth Regional Falcons (Tinton Falls, NJ) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Lakewood Piners (Lakewood, NJ), 39-17 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Monmouth Regional upgrades its record to 7-7 on the season. The Falcons travel to Point Pleasant Boro (Point Pleasant, NJ) to play the Panthers in a non-league bout on Thursday, February 10. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 7-9. Point Pleasant Boro won 63-60 in their recent non-league bout against Manalapan (Englishtown, NJ)
Next up, the Piners play the Pinelands Regional Wildcats (Tuckerton, NJ) in a Shore B - South bout, on Thursday, February 10. Lakewood will attempt to upgrade on its 0-14 season record. The Wildcats go into the bout with a 2-8 record after their 58-20 league loss to Manchester Township (Lakehurst, NJ).
