West Virginia High School Basketball - Point Pleasant edges Riverside

February 8, 2022: Belle, WV 25015

The Point Pleasant Big Blacks (Point Pleasant, WV) basketball nipped the host Riverside Warriors (Belle, WV), 44-42 in Tuesday's non-league test.

The Big Blacks (7-12) will now prepare for their outing against Charleston Catholic (Charleston, WV). The Irish go into the non-league outing with a 6-7 record. In their last outing, Charleston Catholic was tipped by Winfield (Winfield, WV), 51-43, in a non-league outing.

The Warriors now hold a 2-13 record. They play next when they travel to Parkersburg for a Mountain State outing on Friday, February 11. Riverside will clash with a Big Reds squad coming off a 54-46 league win over Parkersburg South (Parkersburg, WV). The Big Reds record now stands at 15-4.
