Latin Romans (Chicago, IL) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Jones Eagles (Chicago, IL), 65-56 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Latin upgrades its record to 16-12 on the campaign. The Romans host Northridge (Niles, IL) to play the Knights in a Independent School bout on Friday, February 10. The Knights come into the bout with a record of 19-9. Northridge won 73-21 in their recent league bout against Morgan Park Academy (Chicago, IL)

Next up, the Eagles play the Holy Trinity Tigers (Chicago, IL) in a non-league bout, on Friday, February 10. Jones will attempt to upgrade on its 16-12 season record. The Tigers come into the bout with a 15-9 record after their 55-45 non-league win over Chicago Mathematics & Science (Chicago, IL).
