California High School Basketball - Bear River overwhelms Wheatland
February 8, 2023: Wheatland, CA 95692 Fans at Wednesday's league challenge between the Bear River Bruins (Grass Valley, CA) and the host Wheatland Pirates (Wheatland, CA), saw Bear River's basketball squad wallop Wheatland by a tally of 70-20.
With the victory, Bear River improves its record to 16-9 on the campaign. The Bruins travel to Marysville (Marysville, CA) to confront the Indians in a Pioneer Valley League challenge on Friday, February 10. The Indians come into the challenge with a record of 23-4. Marysville won 90-15 in their recent league challenge against Lindhurst (Olivehurst, CA)
Next up, the Pirates confront the Center Cougars (Antelope, CA) in a Pioneer Valley League challenge, on Friday, February 10. Wheatland will attempt to improve on its 6-17 season record. The Cougars come into the challenge with a 7-18 record after their 47-41 league loss to Twelve Bridges (Lincoln, CA).
