Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the South Charlotte Thunder Thunder (Matthews, NC) and the host Charlotte Elite Academy Soldiers (Charlotte, NC), saw South Charlotte Thunder's basketball squad hold off Charlotte Elite Academy by a tally of 61-60.

With the victory, South Charlotte Thunder improves its record to 14-8 on the campaign. The Thunder travel to Christ School (Arden, NC) to battle the Greenies in a non-league battle on Friday, February 10. The Greenies come into the battle with a record of 16-2.
