Spearfish Spartans (Spearfish, SD) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Custer Wildcats (Custer, SD), 63-56 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Spearfish upgrades its record to 8-7 on the season. The Spartans host Rapid City Christian (Rapid City, SD) to play the Comets in a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 13. The Comets go into the bout with a record of 14-2. Rapid City Christian won 81-28 in their recent league bout against Belle Fourche (Belle Fourche, SD)

Next up, the Wildcats play the Lead-Deadwood Golddiggers (Lead, SD) in a A Region 8 bout, on Thursday, February 15. Custer will attempt to upgrade on its 11-6 season record.
