Douglas County West Falcon (Valley, NE) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Platteview Trojans (Springfield, NE), 54-41 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Douglas County West upgrades its record to 19-2 on the season. The Falcon host Concordia (Omaha, NE) to play the Mustangs in a C1 District 4 bout on Tuesday, February 13. The Mustangs go into the bout with a record of 19-1.

Next up, the Trojans play the Ashland-Greenwood Bluejays (Ashland, NE) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, February 10. Platteview will attempt to upgrade on its 12-8 season record. The Bluejays go into the bout with a 18-2 record after their 59-33 non-league win over Kearney Catholic (Kearney, NE).
