Moshannon Valley Black Knights/Damsels (Houtzdale, PA) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host West Branch Warriors (Morrisdale, PA), 36-27 in a league bout.

With the victory, Moshannon Valley upgrades its record to 12-3 on the campaign. The Black Knights/Damsels host Cambria Heights (Patton, PA) to play the Highlanders in a non-league bout on Monday, February 12. The Highlanders come into the bout with a record of 0-0.

In their next game, the Warriors face the Bucktail Bucks (Farwell, PA) in a non-league game, on Friday, February 9. West Branch will attempt to move on its 9-12 season record. The Bucks enter the game with a 0-1 record after their 26-23 non-league loss to West Branch (Morrisdale, PA).
