Torrance Tartars (Torrance, CA) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Notre Dame Academy Regal Gryphons (Los Angeles, CA), 51-45 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Torrance upgrades its record to 14-13 on the campaign. The Tartars travel to Providence (Burbank, CA) to play the Pioneers in a non-league bout on Saturday, February 10. The Pioneers come into the bout with a record of 18-6. Providence won 58-40 in their recent non-league bout against Bishop Diego (Santa Barbara, CA)
