The Weir Red Riders basketball squad (Weirton, WV), was crushed 62-41 in Saturday's non-league battle with the host North Marion Huskies (Farmington, WV)

With the victory, North Marion advances its record to 6-8 on the year. The Huskies host East Fairmont (Fairmont, WV) to meet the Bees in a Big Ten battle on Monday, February 10. The Bees enter the battle with a record of 6-7. East Fairmont won 45-43 in their recent non-league battle against Lincoln (Shinnston, WV)

The Red Riders now own a 4-13 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Bellaire for a Ohio Valley AAA battle on Tuesday, February 11. Weir will meet a Big Reds squad coming off a 61-39 non-league loss to Catholic Central (Steubenville, OH). The Big Reds record now stands at 9-11.
