The South Decatur Cougars (Greensburg, IN) basketball edged the visiting Rising Sun Shiners (Rising Sun, IN), 61-54 in Saturday's non-league bout.

The Cougars now possess a 5-12 record. They play next when they host Waldron for a Mid-Hoosier bout on Friday, February 14. South Decatur will play a Mohawks team coming off a 51-42 non-league win over Tri (Straughn, IN). The Mohawks record now stands at 10-9.

With the loss, Rising Sun falls to 4-15 on the campaign. The Shiners host Southwestern (Hanover, IN) to play the Rebels in a Ohio River Valley bout on Friday, February 14. The Rebels go into the bout with a record of 13-4. Southwestern lost 55-54 in their recent league bout against South Ripley (Versailles, IN)
