In Saturday's non-league contest, the host St. James Wildcats basketball team scored a good 36-26 triumph over the Berwick Panthers.

The Wildcats (7-10) will now prepare for their contest against South Lafourche (Galliano, LA). The Tarpons go into the non-league contest with a 13-12 record. In their last contest, South Lafourche was toppled by Vandebilt Catholic (Houma, LA), 70-41, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Panthers confront the Central Catholic Eagles (Morgan City, LA) in a non-league contest, on Monday, February 10. Berwick will attempt to better on its 20-9 season record. The Eagles go into the contest with a 21-7 record after their 59-12 league win over Hanson Memorial (Franklin, LA).
