In Saturday's league contest, the visiting Lone Star Longhorns basketball team scored a good 50-31 triumph over the Bethune Bobcats.

The Longhorns (8-7) will now prepare for their contest against Otis (Otis, CO). The Bulldogs go into the 1A YWKC contest with a 7-7 record. In their last contest, Otis was toppled by Hi-Plains (Seibert, CO), 35-25, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Bobcats confront the South Baca [Campo/Vilas/Pritchett] Patriots (Vilas, CO) in a non-league contest, on Monday, February 10. Bethune will attempt to better on its 6-7 season record. The Patriots go into the contest with a 8-6 record after their 45-28 league win over Holly (Holly, CO).
