New Mexico High School Basketball - Grants overwhelms Sandia Prep
February 8, 2025: Albuquerque, NM 87113 The Grants Pirates basketball team scored 67 points and limited the host Sandia Prep Sundevils to 36 in the Pirates non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Pirates now have a 7-5 record. They play next when they host St. Pius X for a non-league game on Tuesday, February 11. Grants will confront a Sartans team coming off a 53-47 non-league loss to Belen (Belen, NM). The Sartans record now stands at 8-9.
With the loss, Sandia Prep falls to 6-9 on the campaign. The Sundevils travel to East Mountain (Sandia Park, NM) to confront the Timberwolves in a non-league game on Tuesday, February 11. The Timberwolves go into the game with a record of 12-6. East Mountain lost 41-34 in their recent non-league game against Bosque (Albuquerque, NM)
