The Valparaiso Vikings ran past the visiting La Porte Slicers basketball team by a final score of 57-47 in Wednesday's league game.

In their next game, the Vikings face the Crown Point Bulldogs (Crown Point, IN) in a Duneland game, on Friday, February 11. Valparaiso will attempt to move on its 17-3 season record. The Bulldogs enter the game with a 15-4 record after their 74-38 non-league win over Andrean (Merrillville, IN).

With the defeat, La Porte moves to 9-9 on the year. The Slicers host Merrillville (Merrillville, IN) to face the Pirates in a Duneland game on Friday, February 11. The Pirates enter the game with a record of 7-10. Merrillville won 68-57 in their recent league game against Lake Central (St. John, IN)
