Fans at Wednesday's league challenge between the Gilpin County Eagles (Black Hawk, CO) and the visiting Dawson School Mustangs (Lafayette, CO), saw Gilpin County's basketball squad wallop Dawson School by a tally of 55-13.

With the victory, Gilpin County improves its record to 11-5 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Highland (Ault, CO) to encounter the Huskies in a 3A/2A/1A Mile High outing on Saturday, February 12. The Huskies go into the outing with a record of 12-5. Highland won 46-25 in their recent league outing against Lyons (Lyons, CO)

The Mustangs now own a 8-8 record. They play next when they host Lyons for a 3A/2A/1A Mile High outing on Friday, February 11. Dawson School will encounter a Lions squad coming off a 34-31 non-league loss to Belleview Christian (Westminster, CO). The Lions record now stands at 4-12.
