North Carolina High School Basketball - East Rutherford fells Polk County

East Rutherford Cavaliers (Forest City, NC) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Polk County Wolverines (Columbus, NC), 60-40 in a league bout.

With the win, East Rutherford upgrades its record to 22-0 on the season. The Cavaliers host Patton (Morganton, NC) to play the Panthers in a 2A Conference 41 bout on Thursday, February 10. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 4-15. Patton won 57-13 in their recent league bout against Chase (Forest City, NC)

Next up, the Wolverines play the Brevard Blue Devils (Brevard, NC) in a 2A Conference 41 bout, on Friday, February 11. Polk County will attempt to upgrade on its 12-6 season record. The Blue Devils go into the bout with a 6-12 record after their 49-39 league loss to Hendersonville (Hendersonville, NC).
