New York High School Basketball - Newton can't hold off Bard
February 9, 2023: New York, NY 10002 The Bard basketball team scored 57 points and restricted the visiting Newton Braves to 55 in the non-league victory on Thursday.
The now sport a 11-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Manchester Regional for a non-league contest on Friday, February 10. Bard will battle a Falcons team coming off a 55-31 non-league loss to Waldwick/Midland Park (Waldwick, NJ). The Falcons record now stands at 9-11.
The Braves (4-16) will now prepare for their contest against Kittatinny Regional (Newton, NJ). The Cougars come into the non-league contest with a 6-11 record. In their last contest, Kittatinny Regional was nudged by Morris Hills (Rockaway, NJ), 50-39, in a non-league contest.
