The Hankinson Pirates basketball team scored 72 points and restricted the visiting Waverly/South Shore Coyotes to 64 in the Pirates non-league victory on Thursday.

The Pirates now sport a 9-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Richland for a B Region 1 contest on Friday, February 10. Hankinson will battle a Colts team coming off a 68-60 league win over Enderlin (Enderlin, ND). The Colts record now stands at 10-6.

The Coyotes (7-8) will now prepare for their contest against Great Plains Lutheran (Watertown, SD). The Panthers come into the non-league contest with a 6-10 record.
