West Virginia High School Basketball - Spring Valley holds off Hurricane

February 9, 2023: Hurricane, WV 25526

Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Spring Valley Timberwolves (Huntington, WV) and the host Hurricane Redskins (Hurricane, WV), saw Spring Valley's basketball squad hold off Hurricane by a tally of 78-76.

With the victory, Spring Valley improves its record to 13-6 on the campaign. The Timberwolves host Blazer (Ashland, KY) to confront the Tomcats in a non-league challenge on Saturday, February 11. The Tomcats come into the challenge with a record of 14-8. Blazer won 75-44 in their recent non-league challenge against Rowan County (Morehead, KY)

Next up, the Redskins confront the Parkersburg Big Reds (Parkersburg, WV) in a Mountain State challenge, on Monday, February 13. Hurricane will attempt to improve on its 7-10 season record. The Big Reds come into the challenge with a 4-14 record after their 76-48 league win over Riverside (Belle, WV).
