Ohio High School Basketball - Vinton County crushes Jackson
February 9, 2023: Jackson, OH 45640 Vinton County Vikings (McArthur, OH) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Jackson Ironman/Ironladies (Jackson, OH), 69-47 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Vinton County upgrades its record to 15-5 on the season. The Vikings host Wellston (Wellston, OH) to clash with the Golden Rockets in a Tri-Valley I bout on Friday, February 10. The Golden Rockets go into the bout with a record of 7-13. Wellston lost 59-40 in their recent league bout against Athens (The Plains, OH)
Next up, the Ironman/Ironladies clash with the South Point Pointers (South Point, OH) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, February 14. Jackson will attempt to upgrade on its 11-10 season record. The Pointers go into the bout with a 17-2 record after their 62-40 league win over Dawson-Bryant (Coal Grove, OH).
