Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the South Pontotoc Cougars (Pontotoc, MS) and the visiting New Albany Bulldogs (New Albany, MS), saw South Pontotoc's basketball squad overcome New Albany by a tally of 61-48.

With the victory, South Pontotoc improves its record to 25-5 on the campaign. The Cougars host Pontotoc (Pontotoc, MS) to confront the Warriors in a 4A Region 2 challenge on Friday, February 10. The Warriors come into the challenge with a record of 26-2. Pontotoc won 80-58 in their recent non-league challenge against Ripley (Ripley, MS)

Next up, the Bulldogs confront the Ripley Tigers (Ripley, MS) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, February 10. New Albany will attempt to improve on its 23-6 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 3-14 record after their 80-58 non-league loss to Pontotoc (Pontotoc, MS).
