Minnesota High School Basketball - Battle Lake holds off Wheaton
February 9, 2024: Battle Lake, MN 56515 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Battle Lake Battlers (Battle Lake, MN) and the visiting Wheaton Warriors (Wheaton, MN), saw Battle Lake's basketball squad hold off Wheaton by a tally of 58-54.
With the victory, Battle Lake improves its record to 11-12 on the campaign. The Battlers host Ashby (Ashby, MN) to confront the Arrows in a A Section 6 challenge on Tuesday, February 13. The Arrows come into the challenge with a record of 9-16. Ashby lost 76-64 in their recent non-league challenge against Verndale (Verndale, MN)
Next up, the Warriors confront the Brandon/Evansville Chargers (Brandon, MN) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, February 13. Wheaton will attempt to improve on its 8-11 season record. The Chargers come into the challenge with a 13-8 record after their 84-40 league loss to Underwood (Underwood, MN).
