Maryland High School Basketball - Middletown trounces Catoctin
February 9, 2024: Thurmont, MD 21788 The Middletown Knights (Middletown, MD) basketball crushed the host Catoctin Cougars (Thurmont, MD), 82-58 in Friday's league test.
The Knights (19-1) will now prepare for their test against South Carroll (Sykesville, MD). The Cavaliers go into the non-league test with a 11-7 record. In their last test, South Carroll walloped Francis Scott Key (Union Bridge, MD), 62-36, in a league test.
The Cougars now own a 6-13 record. They play next when they travel to St. James for a non-league test on Wednesday, February 14. Catoctin will encounter a Saints squad coming off a 77-75 league loss to St. Andrew's Episcopal (Potomac, MD). The Saints record now stands at 5-18.
