The Marvin Ridge Mavericks (Waxhaw, NC) basketball knocked off the visiting Sun Valley Spartans (Monroe, NC), 74-55 in Friday's league test.

The Mavericks (15-8) will now prepare for their test against Weddington (Matthews, NC). The Warriors go into the 4A Southern Carolina test with a 21-1 record.
