Kansas High School Basketball - Perry-Lecompton nips Nemaha Central
February 9, 2024: Seneca, KS 66538 Perry-Lecompton Kaws (Perry, KS) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Nemaha Central Thunder (Seneca, KS), 37-35 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Perry-Lecompton upgrades its record to 13-4 on the season. The Kaws travel to Sabetha (Sabetha, KS) to play the Bluejays in a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 13. The Bluejays go into the bout with a record of 15-2. Sabetha won 63-45 in their recent non-league bout against Jefferson West (Meriden, KS)
Next up, the Thunder play the Riverside [Wathena/Elwood] Cyclones (Wathena, KS) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, February 10. Nemaha Central will attempt to upgrade on its 10-6 season record. The Cyclones go into the bout with a 3-11 record after their 45-40 non-league loss to Hiawatha (Hiawatha, KS).
