Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Rome Free Academy Black Knights (Rome, NY) and the visiting Vernon-Verona-Sherrill Red Devils (Verona, NY), saw Rome Free Academy's basketball squad overcome Vernon-Verona-Sherrill by a tally of 87-71.

With the victory, Rome Free Academy improves its record to 15-4 on the campaign. The Black Knights host Whitesboro (Marcy, NY) to confront the Warriors in a Section 3 Tri-Valley - Colonial challenge on Tuesday, February 13. The Warriors come into the challenge with a record of 1-12. Whitesboro lost 80-37 in their recent league challenge against Camden (Camden, NY)

Next up, the Red Devils confront the Camden Blue Devils (Camden, NY) in a Section 3 Tri-Valley - Pioneer challenge, on Tuesday, February 13. Vernon-Verona-Sherrill will attempt to improve on its 5-14 season record. The Blue Devils come into the challenge with a 15-4 record after their 80-37 league win over Whitesboro (Marcy, NY).
