Michigan High School Basketball - Berkley tops Shrine Catholic
February 9, 2024: Berkley, MI 48072 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Berkley Bears (Berkley, MI) and the visiting Shrine Catholic Knights (Royal Oak, MI), saw Berkley's basketball squad knock off Shrine Catholic by a count of 48-35.
With the victory, Berkley upgrades its record to 13-4 on the campaign. The Bears travel to Athens (Troy, MI) to play the Red Hawks in a Oakland - Blue challenge on Monday, February 12. The Red Hawks come into the challenge with a record of 7-9. Athens lost 41-35 in their recent league challenge against Adams (Rochester, MI)
Next up, the Knights play the Cabrini Monarchs (Allen Park, MI) in a Catholic C-D D challenge, on Tuesday, February 13. Shrine Catholic will attempt to upgrade on its 5-12 season record. The Monarchs come into the challenge with a 3-11 record after their 42-38 league loss to St. Catherine of Siena Academy (Wixom, MI).
