February 9, 2024: Powhatan, VA 23139 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the James River Midlothian Rapids (Midlothian, VA) and the host Powhatan Indians (Powhatan, VA), saw James River Midlothian's basketball squad hold off Powhatan by a tally of 2-1.
With the victory, James River Midlothian improves its record to 19-3 on the campaign. The Rapids travel to L.C. Bird (Chesterfield, VA) to play the Skyhawks in a Dominion challenge on Tuesday, February 13. The Skyhawks come into the challenge with a record of 16-5. L.C. Bird won 2-0 in their recent league challenge against Huguenot (Richmond, VA)
Next up, the Indians play the Midlothian Trojans (Midlothian, VA) in a Dominion challenge, on Tuesday, February 13. Powhatan will attempt to improve on its 5-16 season record. The Trojans come into the challenge with a 13-8 record after their 47-41 non-league win over Matoaca (Chesterfield, VA).
